Royce White is an American mixed martial artist, basketball player at the collegiate and professional levels, and politician. A power forward, he played for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA), the Reno Bighorns, and the London Lightning. He was 2009 Minnesota Mr. Basketball, and twice a member of a Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) championship team. He is a Republican. He is 6′8″.
Royce is the son of Rebecca White and Kevin Tucker. Both of his maternal great-grandfathers were African-American, while one of his maternal great-grandmothers was Mexican, and the other was a white American. Royce’s maternal grandfather was Frank Matthew White (the son of Louis Verde White and Fidela Catherine Rangel). Louis was black, and was the son of Louis V. White and Louise Moore/Young. Fidela was born in Mexico, the daughter of Francisco Rangel and Cresencia/Chrisencia Ortiz.
Royce’s maternal grandmother was Sandra Melita Pryor (the daughter of Milton Noble Pryor and Doris Cecelia Davis). Milton was black, and was the son of Milton N. Pryor and Hazel Mae Bannister. Doris was white, and was the daughter of Horace S. Davis and Elizabeth O., who was Norwegian.
